Kioloa Philosophy Graduate Students Conference
Friday 8 June 2018

A co-hort of Philosophy Graduate Students recently spent the weekend down at Kioloa working on presentation skills and discussing aspects of their research.

The Kioloa Philosophy Graduate Students conference is a biannual weekend conference for all the graduate students in ANU's philosophy department.

We spend the weekend away at the Kioloa Coastal Campus of the ANU, situated on the picturesque south coast of New South Wales near Bateman's Bay.  Referred to simply as Kioloa it is a major feature of the close knit and supportive graduate student culture in the School of Philosophy.

The weekend involves a series of talks from about half the graduate students; a great opportunity to practice giving talks in a relaxed environment.  We also do all our own cooking and spend the nights around the campfire getting to know one another.
