Award for Eminent Achievement and Merit of the Highest Order

The School of Philosophy once again finds itself congratulating Professor David Chalmers for an outstanding achievement. Professor Chalmers is the 2013 winner of the Peter Baume Award,  the ANU's most prestigious award. It  recognises eminent achievement and merit of the highest order.  In the words of the university's official statement:

"The Peter Baume Award is the University’s highest award for exceptional staff members and Alumni of the University whose contributions to the economic, cultural, scientific or social development of Australia or the international community have demonstrated distinguished service of the highest degree."

In the words of Professor Alan Hajek, Head of School "Dave truly deserves this, and it caps off a wonderful year for him... Well done Dave".
