Phillip Pettit interviewed on New Ways to think about free speech

Phillip Pettit

Friday 8 June 2018

Professor Phillip Pettit was interviewed on Radio National on Wednesday, 16 May 2018, about the new ways to think about free speech.

The concepts around freedom of speech were originally created during a time when a single, dominant voice prevailed over many.

These days the ability to express an opinion in a public forum has been democratised through advances in technology and the Internet.

So what happens when a cacophony of voices grows so loud that it gets in the way of the truth?
