Dr Rachael Brown explores the Misinformation around COVID

Have you fallen for the misinformation spread about COVID? 

Dr Rachael Brown, Director of Centre for Philosophy of the Sciences, has recently published an article in which she explores the three main fallacies that have been spread in 2020. She names three, including 'false comparisons', which she argues could have been avoided with the simple act of critical thinking. Although, sometimes the use of these in the media or by politicians is deliberate in order to sway the public - Dr Brown argues,  'The only antidote is a large dose of scepticism, mixed with some understanding of where our reasoning frequently goes wrong."
