Benjamin library

The Benjamin Memorial Library was founded in memory of Bruce Benjamin, who taught in the ANU’s Philosophy Department from 1952 until his untimely death by cancer at age 38 in 1963. His widow Audrey donated Benjamin’s collection of philosophy books to the Department, and in 1999 Benjamin’s four children and brother donated a copy of his 1962 portrait by Lina Bryans to hang in the library.

Today the library is located in the School of Philosophy in the HC Coombs Building, Room 2219.
