Memorial Celebration of the Life of Emeritus Professor Geoffrey Brennan
Emeritus Professor Geoffrey Brennan

The School of Philosophy at the Australian National University would like to invite you to celebrate the life and work of Emeritus Professor Geoffrey Brennan.

Geoff passed away on 29 July 2022 after a brief battle with leukaemia. He was an outstanding scholar, who did ground-breaking work at the intersection of economics, politics and philosophy; served as an intellectual leader when Director of the Research School of Social Sciences; and played a major role in the development of “PPE” as a global research program, helping to establish a Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at the ANU. Geoff will be remembered by his numerous friends and colleagues throughout the world, not only for his outstanding scholarly contributions, but also as an inspiring and joyful collaborator and interlocutor, and as an extraordinarily warm, generous, outgoing, and kind person.

If you have photos of Geoff that you wish to share for this occasion, please contact Maria Mendoza on events.rsss@anu.edu.au including the text: "Memorial Geoffrey Brennan" in the subject.
