The ANU School of Philosophy wish to congratulate PhD student Rachel Cao for being selected to attend Athena in Action: A Networking and Mentoring Workshop for Graduate Student Women in Philosophy in the Philosophy Department at the University of Notre Dame, next June.

Athena in Action:  A Networking and Mentoring Workshop for Graduate Student Women in Philosophy brings together a group of graduate students with a group of women faculty mentors for three days of substantive philosophical discussion and professional advice sessions. Participants benefit from getting to know the other talented graduate students and the faculty members, and from hearing the mentors’ advice on topics of interest to women in the profession.

The 2024 workshop is co-organised by Meghan Sullivan (Notre Dame), Liz Camp (Rutgers), Liz Harman (Princeton), and Jill North (Rutgers), and applications are very competitive. It is a terrific achievement to have been selected, and it will doubtless be a precious experience for our ANU student.
