Congratulations Professor Bob Goodin on Winning The Johan Skytte Prize 2022
Monday 2 May 2022

Distinguished Professor Bob Goodin of Philosophy is the recepient of the 2022 Johan Skytte Prize - a very high honour in political science, and an award for lifetime achievement. This award is considered the "Nobel Prize of political science" and is being awarded for the 28th time this year. Previous recipients include Amartya Sen and Francis Fukuyama, among many other luminaries.

Professor Bob wins the prize for his impressive work in which he “with acuity and success endeavoured to blend political philosophy with empirical political science to increase the understanding of how decent and dignified societies can be shaped.” The prize, consisting of a silver medal and a prize money of SEK 500.000, will be awarded during the prize award ceremony which will take place in Uppsala in autumn 2022.
