Monday 5 December 2022

Congratulations to PhD student, Shalom Chalson, who was Highly Commended for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Tutoring or Demonstrating. The 2022 Vice Chancellors Awards for Excellence in Education were announced on 24 November 2022.

Shalom’s award could not be more richly deserved: She has been an outstanding tutor both in the School of Philosophy and the ANU College of Law. Her SELT scores are off the charts (virtually all 5/5) and many students describe her as the best tutor they have ever had. In addition to her own inspiring tutoring, Shalom also set up and organised a support group for all the tutors in the School of Philosophy in 2021, a wonderful service to the School.

Congratulations for this terrific achievement!
