Philosophy warmly welcomes Professor Chandran Kukathas

Professor Chandran Kukathas (SMU)

Professor Chandran Kukathas will deliver the 2019 Philosophy and Public Policy Lecture on the topic of  ‘Immigration and Freedom’.

The lecture is hosted by the Centre for Moral, Social, and Political Theory (MSPT) in the School of Philosophy.

Chandran Kukathas is Dean and Lee Kong Chian Chair Professor of Political Science in the School of Social Sciences, Singapore Management University. Before joining SMU, Kukathas was Professor and Head of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Kukathas is best known for his numerous contributions to multiculturalism and to the understanding and assessment of Hayek’s political philosophy.

The 2019 Philosophy and Public Policy Lecture will be held on Tuesday 8 October, from 17:00-18:30pm in the Centre for China in the World Lecture Theatre. It will be followed by a small reception.
