Professor Alan Hajek awarded the 2012 CASS Excellence in Supervision Award

On Friday 7 December, the School of Philosophy's Professor Alan Hajek was awarded the 2012 CASS Excellence in Supervision Award.

The award recognises a sustained record of strong and innovative commitment to students, and best practice in introducing students to research and research networks.

Hajek has been commended as an outstanding mentor and supervisor who makes students want to succeed and provides clear pathways for them to do so. He is very highly engaged with his students, endowing them with a number of strategies with which to approach problems. He is committed to developing a community of collaborative scholars inclusive of HDR students and faculty and a feeling of teamwork.
