Emily McTernan (ANU/UCL): Microaggressions and what they tell us about justice
Microaggressions are the everyday, subtle, ‘putdowns or degradations’ experienced by members of oppressed, discriminated against, or marginalised groups. This paper has two parts. First, I offer an account of what microaggressions are and what makes them wrong. Second, I examine what thinking about this kind of injustice suggests about the nature and site of justice.
