Jesse Hambly (ANU): Prospects for normative reduction (TPR)

In this talk I will introduce and clarify reductive theories of normativity. (Roughly, views which suggest that normative truths are, in some sense, nothing over and above truths about natural properties and facts.) I will then offer an interpretation and defence of an argument against normative reduction offered by Derek Parfit, the Normativity Objection.
