Johannes Himmelreich (LSE): Responsibility Gaps: the case of autonomous military drones

I argue that there is no responsibility gap problem for autonomous military drones. In order to get clear about the issue, I first distinguish different ways of understanding the responsibility gap problem and identify the way which is pertinent to autonomous military drones. I then argue that under a plausible conception of agency, this responsibility gap problem does not arise when autonomous drones are used in a military context.
